A dairy manufacturer in Friesland is currently greatly expanding the capacity of its cheese plant. The increased cheese production also means more whey is produced, which is then processed into foodstuff ingredients to be used elsewhere.
In order to reduce whey transport costs, membrane technology is used to condense the dry substance percentage from 5% to 26%. The plant had to be adapted to make this possible.
EPC, commissioning and start-up
The principal asked us to take care of the EPC management for the basic design and execution phases, and to supervise the commissioning and start-up phases. Meanwhile the new processing department had a successful start up!
